Is Capitalism Racist? American Express is requiring its employees to take part in a critical race theory training program which asks workers to deconstruct their racial and sexual identities. The training encourages employees to rank themselves on a hierarchy of “privilege” and apply that hierarchy to the workplace. During one training event, their key speaker said the system of capitalism was founded on racism and promoted the idea that the company should reduce standards for black customers and sacrifice profits in the interest of race-based reparations. Is this the way to equity?

The Great Miles Tax Fib. Last March, Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg stated categorically that there would be no mileage tax, otherwise known as a road usage fee, in the President's Infrastructure Bill. The bill that passed the Senate this week included $125 million to fund pilot programs to test a national vehicle miles traveled fee. Have we been duped?
