The Fight Against Boston’s Vaccine Mandate. Boston Mayor Michelle Wu has implemented a vaccine mandate in the city that requires all city workers to have at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose by Jan. 15th and a second dose by Feb. 15th. Boston police sergeant Shana Cottone, a critic of the mandate and member of Boston First Responders United was placed on leave this past weekend by the BPD days before the requirement goes into effect. Do you agree or disagree with Boston’s Covid vaccine mandate? Sgt. Shana Cottone joins Dan to tell her story.

Digital Vaccine Cards Are Here! Today, the Baker Administration announced a new tool for MA residents to access their COVID-19 digital vaccine card along with vaccination history. The tool called My Vax Records also contains a QR code that can be used to verify vaccine status. The Baker Admin. has stressed that this tool is not the first step towards mandatory vaccine mandates. Boston Globe tech reporter Hiawatha Bray joins Dan to discuss.

Should Race Be A Factor? Due to a severe shortage, the state of New York just recently put out guidelines for dispensing potentially lifesaving treatments for Covid patients such as monoclonal antibodies and oral antivirals. In the state’s eligibility guidelines it says that one of the criteria is having a medical condition or increased risk factor such as non-white race or Hispanic/Latino ethnicity. Do you think the state’s eligibility criteria is fair or is it doing more harm than good?
