Get Vaccine, Get Cash! Haverhill Mayor James Fiorentini has implemented a new Covid vaccine policy for the city’s roughly 455 employees. It entails getting vaccinated by the 23rd of January or undergo weekly testing. The added perk of the new policy is that whoever has been vaccinated or gets vaccinated by March 4th will receive a $500 stipend. Should other cities such as Boston adopt a similar policy?
Biden’s Push For Voting Rights. Today President Biden made an impassioned speech in Georgia pushing for national voting rights bills and a change to the Senate’s filibuster rules. Since the 2020 election there have been 19 states that have passed more restrictive voting laws. Any passing of a national voting bill would counter the individual state’s laws.
