Vacation Days Evaluated. The Hopkinton School Committee is considering a proposal that would update the school calendar potentially adding Lunar New Year and Eid al Fitr as school holidays. Two other proposals being considered are to keep the calendar as is or eliminate all days off for religious holidays. The effort comes at a time when the town has seen the highest diversity growth among its population. What proposal being presented do you support? Our Future With Covid. COVID-19 has dramatically changed the way all of us live and operate in our daily lives. Once we appear to get a hold on the pandemic, another variant emerges and takes off despite our best efforts to combat it. Covid Vaccine or No Transplant, Your Choice. A 31-year-old man in desperate need of a heart transplant was removed from the transplant list because he was not vaccinated against COVID-19. For the Mass General Brigham Health System along with many other hospitals across the country a COVID-19 vaccine is “one of several vaccines and lifestyle behaviors required for transplant candidates”. Professor Brendan Parent, JD and Director of Transplant Ethics and Policy Research at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine joins Dan to discuss.
