Getting Home. A local Fitchburg dad has done what any good father would do and that is go above and beyond to bring his daughter to safety. Dr. William Hubbard has traveled to the war-torn country of Ukraine to help his daughter and grandson flee the country. Currently the Hubbards are stuck on the Slovakia/Ukraine border unable to cross into Slovakia due to what Ukraine officials claim is improper documentation. Tonight, Dr. William Hubbard calls into NightSide live from Ukraine to tell his story.
We’re Not Gonna Take It! Ukrainian officials stand firm against Russia’s demand that their forces in Mariupol surrender and lay down their arms. Meanwhile, a shopping center in the capital city of Kyiv was bombed where eight people were killed. So far, the UN reports that 10 million Ukrainians have been displaced. The Laurie List. The Laurie List, also known as the EES, is a public list comprised of police officers with credibility and disciplinary concerns. Currently, NH keeps such a list, MA does not. The list serves as a way to not only hold officers accountable for their actions, but it is used in a court of law to disclose that a law enforcement officer might lack credibility as a witness. While many support the idea of a public list to bring about more transparency, not all officers are on board…Should MA keep a Laurie List? Why or why not?
