“Urgent Action” On Vote By Mail. Three months ahead of the State Primaries, Massachusetts Secretary of State William Galvin is calling for “urgent action” on the passage of “permanent no-excuse voting by mail”. In the 2020 State Primaries, 47% of the ballots cast were by mail. The Secretary believes any delays in the passage of election reform bills would have a negative impact on voters. Should no-excuse voting by mail be made permanent here in the Commonwealth?
Copley Connect. A new 10-day pilot program in Boston called “Copley Connect” is underway. The program will block off traffic on Dartmouth Street between Boylston Street and St. James Ave. The sectioned off area will be for pedestrian foot traffic only. The closure will allow more outdoor activities and events to take place. Would you be in favor of the program becoming a permanent fixture in Boston?
A Threat To Kavanaugh’s Life. An armed man was arrested near Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s D.C. home early this morning for threatening to kill Justice Kavanaugh. According to a police official the man was armed with a knife and gun and told law enforcement he wanted to kill Kavanaugh. The armed man was supposedly upset about the Supreme Court leaked draft opinion suggesting the reversal of Roe vs. Wade as well as the recent string of mass shootings. Dan discusses the incident.
