Brookline Cracks Down on Tobacco. The Boston suburb of Brookline adopted a new health measure that prohibits tobacco or e-cigarette sales to anyone born on or after Jan. 1, 2000. The measure went into effect in 2021. While Brookline’s rule cracks down on youth tobacco use, it essentially also bars any future generations from purchasing tobacco. It may be clever but is it legal?

Palestinian Students Shot in Vermont. Over the weekend, three Palestinians college students were shot and injured while attending a Thanksgiving holiday gathering in Burlington, Vermont. The students were targeted by a 48-year-old man with a handgun while they were walking on their way to their destination. The suspect appeared in court Monday and entered a not guilty plea to all three counts of attempted second-degree murder. Dan will discuss the latest on this developing story.
