Auditing the Legislature. Last month, Massachusetts ballot Question 1, regarding authorization of the state auditor to audit the state legislature passed with roughly 72% of the vote. Based off the election results, it’s clear that the residents of Massachusetts overwhelmingly support an audit of the state legislature. The question is when will that audit begin? State Auditor Diana DiZoglio is looking to begin that process before the end of the year, but will she have to wait until the start of the new year? State Auditor DiZoglio joins us this evening to discuss!
High Profile Murder in NY Shocks the Nation. United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson was fatally shot Wednesday morning outside of a Hilton hotel in New York City. Police believe it was a targeted attack and since discovered that the words “Delay,” “Deny,” and “Defend” were written on the ammunition fired at Thompson. Does this incident mark a new time period we are entering where major heads of companies such as Thompson, must watch their back and travel with security?
