NightSide with Dan Rea - Rundown for May 26, 2025

NightSide News Update. We begin the program with four interesting guests on topics we think you should know more about! Tonight, find out what it takes to climb Mt. Everest, and think twice before hitting that snooze button!

Memorial Day Reflections. Today we honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Through parades and ceremonies, we remember the fallen…but even a simple moment of silence can speak volumes. Who are you remembering today, and how did you commemorate?

Reasonable Pushback. Harvard University has sued the federal government after the Trump Administration abruptly ended Harvard’s ability to enroll international students. University lawyers have outlined that “countless academic programs, research laboratories, clinics, and courses” have been thrown into chaos and without international students, “Harvard is not Harvard.” What does the Trump Administration expect Harvard to do?

An Inspirational Frog. This year's commencement speaker at the University of Maryland truly leapt to new heights! Kermit the Frog was the headliner at this year's graduation ceremony at UMD. The connection? The late Jim Henson, creator of “The Muppet Show,” was a Class of 1960 graduate. Would you have appreciated a commencement speech delivered by a puppet?
