NightSide with Dan Rea - Rundown for October 10, 2025

NightSide News Update. We kick off the program with four news stories and different guests on the stories we think you need to know about! A New Challenge for Some Nonprofits. Charities & nonprofits like Operation American Soldier & Adopt a Platoon Southie Style whose mission it is to send care packages to troops overseas, is having a harder time sending out care packages to troops due to a new regulation put out by the Universal Postal Union, an agency of the UN. The new regulations are causing backorders and delays. Representatives from Operation American Soldier and Adopt a Platoon Southie Style will join us this evening to explain.

The Nobel Peace Prize Goes To… If you thought President Trump was a shoo-in to win the Nobel Peace Prize this year, think again! This year's Nobel Peace Prize went to Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado, despite Trump's recent involvement in a peace deal between Israel and Hamas, putting a stop to the 2-year war between the warring groups. Many supporters of Trump and those involved with the peace deal believe Trump was snubbed...but was he? Maybe it was just the timing of the voting period as a peace deal with Israel and Hamas just happened within the last day or so. Is it possible Trump may win next year's Nobel Peace Prize? What are your thoughts on the selection?
