BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Celtics have lost three in a row since the All-Star break, and five of seven sandwiched around the week-long layoff.

Hasn't been good.

Last night was especially ugly in Toronto—a 118-95 loss that was over by halftime.

21 games left in the regular season, and Marcus Smart hasn't lost his optimism.

"We're just not together," he said. "Last couple years, we were together ... we're not there yet. Like I said, we're gonna get there, it's just taking time."

This Former Celtics Star Expects Kyrie Irving To Leave Boston

Some have suggested the Celtics look more fluid on the floor without Kyrie Irving—and one former star of the team thinks he'll likely leave.

All-Star Kyrie Irving wasn't quite as convincing in his chat with reporters about the lessons he wanted to focus on.

"Just remaining tough," he said.

On fixing defensive issues?

"That's up to Brad," Irving answered.

And on Smart's comments that they aren't playing together?

"That's Marcus's opinion," he said.

The Celts will host the Blazers tonight.
