BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Construction has begun on two Boston Marathon Bombing memorials near the finish line on Boylston Street.

In front of Marathon Sports, crews set up a large tent and began working on one of the memorials, which will mark the twin locations where bombs went off during the 2013 Boston Marathon.

Boston Mayor Marty Walsh said the memorials should be ready in time for this year's race.

This year marks the sixth anniversary of the bombing, when Martin Richard, Krystal Campbell, and Lu Lingzi were killed when two bombs were set off by brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev.
