BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — It’s officially fall but it did not feel like it the last couple of days in Boston. Temperatures reached 80 degrees, but a cool down is expected Wednesday.
Patrick and Sarah were visiting from Michigan and welcomed the sunshine.
“We came from 80 degrees in Michigan and it kind of just followed us here,” Patrick told WBZ NewsRadio. “We couldn’t have asked for anything more on our vacation. It’s beautiful.”
A weekend of warm weather had some residents wishing summer could last forever.
“I need the 80 degrees to last longer,” Gabriel from Lynn said. “I’m not a big fan of the cold.”
“Forget fall, wish we could stay like this forever,” one local resident added.
But that’s just wishful thinking as temps are expected to drop in Boston starting Wednesday. According to the National Weather Service, much of the state is expected to see highs in the 50s and 60s. Rain is expected Tuesday night and Wednesday.
“I don’t think I’m going to do it now but maybe mid-November ill start [wearing] those big jackets,” another local resident said.
For Marcio Labbaat, it’s all about having a good mindset.
“You just got to be mentally prepared. Gata have a good attitude about everything so that way you live longer,” he said. “I’m ready for the fall.” WBZ NewsRadio’s James Rojas (@JamesRojas.bsky.social) reports.
