BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Coast Guard crews searched for a missing kayaker near Nantucket Sunday night. The 36-year-old man was last seen off the eastern shore of the island.
A crew from the Brant Point Coast Guard station recovered a kayak with no one on-board. A helicopter. plane, and two motor boats were launched to assist in the search.
The call for the missing man came in around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday the Boston Globe reports. The man is thought to be wearing a personal flotation device.
The search continued at first light off Wauwinet Monday morning.
