This 'Memorial Day Rally for a Dream' was organized by Mass 50501, a group that refers to themselves as 'a nonpartisan nonviolent movement.'

The rally started at noon at the City Hall Plaza. The demonstrators then marched Tremont Street to Liberty Mall at the Boston Common.
At the Common, Multiple people spoke, such as Kylie Ariel Bemis of Mass 50501.
“We the people will not allow a president who calls himself a king to terrorize our neighborhoods with a secret police force that acts outside the law,” Bemis said.
She discussed honoring those who gave their lives for the country by fighting for what’s right, while continuing to emphasize a message of peace.
“Now is the time for us to stand up for the democracy and liberty and the American Dream our fallen heroes died defending,” Bemis said. “Now is the time to answer the profound hate dividing our nation with profound love for our neighbors.”

Leo Gerdén, a Harvard student from Sweden, spoke as well, regarding President Trump’s ongoing feud with the university.
“Trump is using us as poker chips in a battle between the White House and Harvard and it's in his attempt to install himself as provost of our university,” Gerdén said. “It is deeply deeply dehumanizing.”
He also talked about how they needed to come together to not be attacked by the administration.
“He's using ICE and the entire immigration system as a way of advancing his agenda,” Gerdén said. “We will not let Trump avoid due process, we will not let Trump use ICE to silence us, we will not let them kidnap members of our community.”
