DUXBURY, Mass (WBZ NewsRadio) — A driver is dead after a car crashed on Route 3 in Duxbury Tuesday.
Emergency crews from Duxbury Fire and Police responded to the north side bound of the highway near between Exits 10 and 11 around 4:40 p.m.
The crash prompted a 7-mile backup.
Images and video from the scene showed a car entangled in the guard rail of the highway.

It not immediately clear what caused the crash. Officials say that the driver, who has not been identified, was the only person in the vehicle.
