BOSTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Hundreds of Fenway Park and MGM Music Hall workers, who are union members of UNITE HERE Local 26, plan to rally before a Red Sox game this afternoon.

This comes after the Aramark employees walked off the job last month in a three day strike during a Red Sox vs. Dodgers homestand, advocating for higher wages and benefits. Strikers told fans to enjoy the games but to support them by not purchasing concessions or souvenirs from the ballpark.

This time, workers said they will gather at the big concourse to send Fenway Sports Group and Aramark another message, according to a press release.

The union said in a meeting last week they warned Aramark another strike could be on the way if workers were not met with a fair proposal, and that "they may stay off the job until they win the contract they deserve."

Lauren Casello, a suite attendant who has worked at Fenway Park for 22 seasons, said in the release, “Since the strike, the Company has not reached out to us or scheduled any bargaining dates.”

Aramak, on the other hand, said they plan to return to the negotiation table.

The company told WBZ NewsRadio in a statement, “We respect the right of our employees to demonstrate and look forward to continuing to bargain in good faith to reach an agreement that works for everyone.”
