BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Flour Bakery has expanded again, opening a new location on Boston Common.

Over the last two decades, Flour Bakery has gone from a little spot in the South End to a favorite for Bostonians. It now has 10 locations across Boston and Cambridge, Mass., after moving into the spot where the old Earl of Sandwich used to be on the Common.

The bakery has become known for its diverse menu, satisfying the tastes of even those with dietary restrictions. Dustin said he normally stops at the Hynes Convention Center location, but now he has a new spot for his vegan favorites.

“The vegan egg is probably the closest thing to the actual thing,” said Dustin. “I came back to try it again.”

Those in the neighborhood are excited about the addition, packing the store since it opened on Tuesday.

“I buy a good breakfast and stretch it to lunch and don’t eat again until I get home,” said Tricia.

“We live in the neighborhood, so we walked down,” said Amechei. “[It’s] so good we also got a dessert.”

There are lots of unique sandwiches on the menu, like the roasted broccoli melt. Terry hopped in line on Wednesday to try it out.

“It’s adventurous, it’s not like a boring regular sandwich,” said Terry.
