BOSTON (AP) — Former U.S. Sen. Scott Brown will become a law school dean when he completes his time as U.S. ambassador to New Zealand and Samoa.
The Boston Globe reports that Brown and New England Law Boston announced Friday that he'll become president and dean of the law school in December 2020 when he's finished serving as an ambassador.
Brown, a Republican, lost his Senate seat in 2012 to Democrat Elizabeth Warren in Massachusetts, then unsuccessfully ran for Senate in 2014 in New Hampshire.
Brown, 60, became an ambassador in 2017.
He told The Globe in a phone interview from New Zealand that the law school position is exciting because he went to law school, worked as a solo practitioner and wrote laws as a state representative, state senator and U.S. senator.
