BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — This summer the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum is taking a look back at the Second World War with an exhibit that will showcase the portraits of those who were born in the Greater Boston Area and served overseas.

"Service and Sacrifice" Exhibit Specialist Jim Wagner tells WBZ's Carl Stevens that WWII was of extreme significant to the Kennedy family, as JFK and his Joseph Jr. Kennedy served.

"It's telling many of the individual stories of those who served during the war. In our glass pavilion, what we'd like to do is project a series of portraits of individuals, men and women, who served WWII— so that after visitors come and see the exhibit, they can look at what we think will be a moving series of photographs of different people who served in the war in different capacities," Wagner said.
