BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — After the Pats won their sixth Super Bowl behind Julian Edelman's MVP performance, the receiver went on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and the host offered to donate $10,000 to one of Edelman's favorite charities—the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

On one condition—he had to let her shave his beard first.

Julian Edelman Shaves On 'Ellen'

The Super Bowl MVP allowed Ellen to shave his beard, with proceeds going to the Boys & Girls Club of Boston.

Edelman thought it over and said, "Let's do it—how about I match $10,000?"

So, $20,000. Awesome. Then, Ellen donated the trimmings to CharityBuzz, they held an online auction for Edelman's discarded beard, and the hair went for $3,250 in support of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston.

Listen, that's great, and thank you for your support ... but, what are you gonna do with the hair? Try to clone Edelman? Make a voodoo doll? Display it somewhere? It's just a little odd.
