CONCORD, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — If you want to be president, you've got to go door-to-door in New Hampshire—and on Friday Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand did just that, with her own unique twist.
The New York senator went storefront-to-storefront in what her campaign called a "downtown walking tour," stopping to sing with a homeless street performer named Kevin Clark. Gillbrand even said he'll be invited to her inauguration, should she win.
Cramming into a crowded coffee shop on South Main Street in Concord, Sen. Gillibrand answered questions about the economy, healthcare and climate change.
Gillibrand said she's happy to be a part of the somewhat-crowded Democratic 2020 field.
"Whatever issue that I see, I see it through a different lens, and I think that's a good thing, and so I'm excited that we have so many women running," she said.
