BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Celtics beat up on the Pistons last night at the Garden to take a two-game winning streak into the All-Star break.

Both have come without Kyrie Irving. The All-Star's day-to-day with a knee strain.

Celtics All-Star Kyrie Irving Avoids Serious Knee Injury

Kyrie Irving left in the second quarter with a strained right knee.

Boston is 9-2 without its best player and leading scorer this year, and some have suggested the C's look more fluid on the floor without him. And, recently, there have been questions as to whether Irving will re-sign in July when he's a free agent.

Former Celts star Antoine Walker told Fox Sports 1's "First Things First" he believes Irving should stay. It's a talented team. But...

"I believe he's gonna leave," Walker said. "I think Kyrie has shown this is not necessarily about winning championships with him. I think New York is probably the place that presents the best option for him for what he wants to do with the shoe deal he has with Nike, where he can be a star there going back home. I just don't think he's a true Celtic. It's like, when you're a Celtic, you kinda wanna be there. I played there seven years of my career, I saw Paul Pierce there. I know how true Celtics are. I don't think Kyrie's yet a true Celtic and believes he's a true Celtic."

Walker also thought Boston would lose to Philadelphia in the playoffs last year, so hopefully he's wrong again.
