CONCORD, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A New Hampshire man is being accused of voter fraud.
Authorities say 80-year-old Charles Cartier Jr. voted in two states - New Hampshire and Massachusetts - during the November 2016 general election. Cartier was arrested Wednesday and charged with knowingly casting ballots in Madison, New Hampshire and Attleboro, Massachusetts. He was released without bail and will be arraigned in Carroll County Superior Court on June 28.
Cartier is one of several people charged with voter fraud since the state hired an investigator in 2017 to enforce voting laws. Six people have been charged with voter fraud in the 2016 election, and two others related to the 2018 election.
