BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The first businesses at a massive new commercial development over the Massachusetts Turnpike are set to open this summer.
Some of the tenants already signed up for leases include electric car maker Rivian, Greek restaurant chain Avra Estiatorio, George Howell Coffee, and Pink Carrot.
The developer is Boston's 'Samuels and Associates'.
Andi Simpson of Samuels said the space will be known as 'Lyrik' because of its location close to the Berklee College of Music and the Boston Pops. "It has such a rich history of music, song, lyrics, and creativity," she said.
The 'European Style' plaza will be located above the Mass Pike in the Back Bay at the intersection of Mass. Ave, Boylston Street, and Newbury Street.
It will include new housing, stores, restaurants, a hotel, and green space.
