BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Patriots officially acquired defensive lineman Michael Bennett from the Eagles yesterday, and the 10-year vet spoke with the team's site about joining the defending champs.

"It's all about winning," he said. "I think everything about the organization is about team first, it's just about doing what we need to do to get where we need to go as a group, and I think I like that."

New Patriots DE Michael Bennett Says He'll Stay In Locker Room For Anthem

Bennett says he told Patriots executives he plans to continue staying in the locker room while the National Anthem is played before NFL games.

Bennett said he used to hate the six-time champs because they win so much. He hated them because Tom Brady's hair was long. Because coach Bill Belichick wore sweaters. Any reason to hate the Pats, he did—even when his brother Martellus called Foxborough home in 2016.

"He loved it, but the fact that he loved it made me hate it!" he said. "He was winning ... I was the brother that was the Super Bowl champ, and then he took that from me, he just took it."

Bennett said, now that he's here, he loves Brady's hair and he's eager to talk with Pats coaches about their football philosophies.

The NFL's Instagram posted a drawing of Bennett in Pats gear, and Brady responded, "Yes please! Now come on Martellus!"

Now that'd be fun.
