STONEHAM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A new baby monkey joined the Stone Zoo family this week.

The zoo said it welcomed the birth of an eastern black and white colobus monkey on Monday to 17-year-old mother Teka and 19-year-old father Isoke.

The monkey family now has four kids, including Kenya (10), Fuhara (9) and George (1).

According to Zoo New England, both the mother and baby are doing well. The siblings are also adapting to take care of the newborn.

“The animal care team has kept a close eye on the baby and are seeing all good signs of its healthy development as it bonds with mom and begins to nurse,” William Robles, curator at Stone Zoo, said in a statement.

Guests can visit the new baby monkey and the family during normal visiting hours. The Stone Zoo is open everyday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
