QUINCY, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Thomas Crane Public Library is accepting applications for wedding ceremonies.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the beautiful site is inviting couples to tie the knot in Quincy Center.

"I think it's kind of cool because you know some people have their own type of like aesthetic and some people might like the library," remarked one resident.

Couples can invite up to 12 guests to partake in a one-hour, non-denominational ceremony for $200. Chairs and decor, including coletti chairs, gold pedestal aisle flower arrangements, and tall floor-standing flower plants, are provided for the nuptials.

Ceremonies can be booked within a 90-day booking window, at least 14 days out. While the library doesn't manage marriage licenses and certificates, couples can apply at Quincy City Hall for a fee of $45. The latest addition to the library's offerings has some residents wishing they had known about this sooner.

"I just got married recently at City Hall," one resident said. "Yeah, I wish the library was available."

The future husband and bride-to-be must hire their officiant and photographer. They don't count towards the 12-guest stipulation.
