WHITMAN, Mass (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Whitman man is accused of posting as a girl on snap chat to lure minors.
Authorities say that Matthew Murphy, 22 is facing charges in Federal Court in Boston on two counts of sexual exploitation of children.
He pretended, police say, to be a teenage girl.
Local and Federal authorities are actively working to identify additional victims on the South Shore.
Police say Murphy admitted to Federal agents that he met one of the boys through a local scouting event.
Each charge carries a sentence of up to 30 years in prison and a fine of $250,000 dollars.
