Wind Advisory In Effect Friday For Most Of Massachusetts

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Friday is the first day of summer, and a wind advisory is in effect through 6 p.m. in most of Massachusetts except for the South Coast, Cape, and Islands.

The National Weather Service said there are sustained winds of 15-25 mph. But, gusts could reach 50 mph, "peaking mid to late afternoon."

Friday will be sunny with a high of 85 degrees, according to AccuWeather. A high of 85 is also expected for Saturday, but there could be a thunderstorm Saturday night or early Sunday. It will be warmer Sunday with an expected high of 90 degrees.

The Cape and Islands will be cooler — upper 70s to low 80s on Saturday and around 80 degrees on Sunday.
