BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A South Shore ice cream shop has created a new ice cream flavor in honor of the newest member of the Norwood Police Department.

Daddy's Dairy in Norwood created a brand new flavor after Mustang Sally, the police department's new therapy dog.

Mustang Sally is a 3-month-old Golden Retriever that is partnered with Officer Geoffrey Baguma.

Baguma asked Daddy's Dairy if they would be willing to create an ice cream flavor after Mustang Sally and to his surprise they said yes.

"Her popularity has just been skyrocketing and I thought it would be cute, especially knowing this business and how great they are with the community," Officer Baguma told WBZ's Kim Tunnicliffe. "I just posed the idea and they jumped on it."

The Mustang Sally ice cream is comprised of a blue vanilla ice cream with a cookie crumble fudge swirl.

"It's been very popular we sold out last week," said Kylee Seagull, manager at Daddy's Dairy.

She told WBZ's Kim Tunnicliffe they plan to keep the newly popular ice cream flavor on the menu.
