Study: Boston Makes Top 5 List For Highest Percentage Of "Good Roads"

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Boston's known for a lot of things, but it turns out having poor road conditions isn't one of them.

Boston made the top 5 list for top urban areas with the highest percentage of good roads, a recent study stated.

Teletrac Navman, a GPS tracking company, listed Boston as the city with the third-best roads in the country and the second-lowest additional vehicle maintenance costs due to poor roads.

The study stated that 65% of Boston roads are in "good" condition, giving the Massachusetts city its high ranking.

Orlando, Florida, and Atlanta, Georgia took the top two spots for the highest percentage of good road conditions. California cities San Francisco, San Jose, and Los Angeles, took the top three spots for the highest percentage of poor roads in the country.

The study reported that Boston has an average additional vehicle repair cost of $306 annually. Rochester, NY made the number 1 spot with an average cost of $305.
