Brookline's public schools, nightlife and outdoor activities ranked among the best in the state.

The town's households earn $130,600 per year on average, according to the report.

Niche named Cordaville the best place to buy a home.

According to Niche, the median house price in Cordaville is $711,800. The average Brookline home costs $1.1 million.

Dorchester ranked first for diversity.

Niche named Cambridge the healthiest place to live in Massachusetts and the fifth healthiest place in the country.

South Lancaster had the lowest cost of living.

Residents there pay a median $379 monthly for rent, according to the report.

The average American renter pays $1,268 monthly and the average Brookline renter pays $2,702 monthly.
