Dunkaroos Returning To Stores This Summer

NEW YORK (WBZ NewsRadio) — General Mills is bringing back a beloved 1990s snack.

Dunkaroos, a cookie-and-icing snack that was launched in 1992, will be returning to shelves this summer, according to a blog post on General Mills' website.

The snack was first discontinued in the United States in 2012, then in Canada in 2018.

"We’re thrilled to relaunch Dunkaroos in the U.S. after years of it only being available in Canada," said Jeff Caswell, president of Snacks at General Mills. "For those who grew up in the ‘90s, the original cookie-frosting combo represents the taste, color and fun of being a kid during that decade. We know there’s a lot of love for Dunkaroos, and fans everywhere have been asking for it. We’re excited to help ‘90s kids relive all the best parts of childhood."

Verified Dunkaroos Twitter and Instagram accounts posted a video on Monday morning confirming the return of the snack.
