BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Tributes continue to come in following this weekend’s death of 54-year-old actor Matthew Perry.
He was best known for his role as Chandler Bing in ‘Friends.’
Authorities say Perry died at his home in Los Angeles after authorities were called to that location for a 'water rescue.'
Original reports say Perry died from an apparent drowning, but no official cause of death has yet been announced.
He was raised in Canada, but was born in Williamstown, Massachusetts located in the western part of the state.
A recreation of the iconic Friends coffee shop called ‘Central Perk’ is located on Newbury Street in Boston.
While not open yet, it’s expected to be a location where fans of the late Perry and Friends will gather to share their favorite Chandler Bing moments.
