Here Are The MBTA Service Changes In Effect For 2021

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The MBTA is ringing in the new year with a list of service changes.

Here is the breakdown:

Green Line E Branch

North Station – Lechmere: Shuttle buses will replace trains between North Station and Lechmere to allow for construction of the new Lechmere station and for repairs and upgrades to the Lechmere Viaduct. This change will run through 2021, all day.

Commuter rail

Anderson/Woburn – Lowell: Shuttle buses replace trains between Anderson/Woburn and Lowell to allow for work on Positive Train Control. Inbound shuttles will depart Lowell, North Billerica, and Wilmington 10 minutes before the scheduled train time. This change will run through January 2021, on weekends.

Rockport Line: Inbound

West Gloucester – Rockport: For inbound service to Boston, daily shuttles run between Rockport and West Gloucester. This change will run through Summer 2021, all day.

Rockport Line: Outbound

Manchester – Rockport: For outbound service to Rockport, daily shuttles run between Manchester and Rockport. This change will run through Summer 2021, all day.

Other Note: The following trains will run one stop further to West Gloucester, and shuttles will run between West Gloucester and Rockport:

Train 105 (8:35 AM from North Station)

Train 115 (4:15 PM)

Train 121 (6:25 PM)
