NEEDHAM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — An employee of an elevator company was killed in an industrial accident at the Needham headquarters of TripAdvisor.
In a post on their Facebook page, Needham Police said they responded to the accident in the building on 1st Avenue around 8:30 a.m. Needham Fire also responded, along with the Boston Fire Department Technical Rescue unit.
The worker, an employee of Otis Elevator, was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim, the victim's family and coworkers," Needham Police wrote. "At no time was any Trip Advisor employee in any danger."
OSHA, the Norfolk District Attorney's office, and Needham Police are investigating.
