BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A sledgehammer, a pumpkin, and a whole lot of stress relief await visitors at the Cityside Pumpkin Patch, now open on, fittingly, Autumn Lane in the Seaport.

Bucket Listers and Cityside Pumpkin Patch teamed up to transform Island Creek Raw Bar Seaport into a fall playground featuring thousands of locally sourced pumpkins.

Visitors can pick one to take home or grab a sledgehammer and smash it on site.

WBZ NewsRadio's Jay Willett gave it a swing.

Beyond the smashing zone, guests will find specialty cocktails, music, a haunted house with a tribute to Dolly Parton, and plenty of photo spots, including a romantic arch and a "Witchy Corner."

"Most of the things are free, like we've got little carnival games where you can knock over cans that look 'Halloweenie,' said designer Warren Whitmore. "We've got our version of farm Skee-Ball. And there's a whole bunch of photo ops."

Whitmore said the patch knows exactly what it is.

"We're not trying to be Coachella, or Burning Man," he said. "We're trying to be what we are. But I like to dance. I like to see some people dancing in the pumpkin patch."

Admission starts at $13.90, or $22.50 with a pumpkin.

The patch runs through Halloween.
