BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Boston Marathon winners are taking home more than just pride and glory.
More than a million dollars is being split between winners.
The biggest check goes to open division winners.
Sisay Lemma, from the men's division, and Hellen Obiri, from the women's division, are taking home $150 thousand.

Professional wheelchair winners, Marcel Hug and Eden Rainbow-Cooper, are taking home $40 thousand each.
There are also $11 thousand in prizes that will be going to para division winners.
First to finish the masters division, which is runners ages 40 and up, will take home a $5 thousand dollar check.
The total prize money is up $250 thousand from last year's race.
