CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A new kind of farm-to-table experience is making its way to Cambridge and Somerville.

The Blue River Terps dispensary carries solvent-less cannabis products for a chemical-free marijuana experience. Owners Jessica Pelletier and Tony Verzura will carry "deconstructed" extracts developed using advanced mechanical separation technology to give cannabis users pure products that many marijuana users seek out.

"Cannabis consumers they're looking for really pure natural products," Tony Verzura told WBZ's Kim Tunnicliffe. "Most people that are smoking flower [are] seeking out what's the most organic, hand-trimmed, best flower. Well, those are the flowers that we seek out to then make our extracts."

When the dispensaries open, they will have a combined staff of about 50 people. Pelletier said most of the employees are local, which is something that is important to her.

"We have made tremendous efforts to hire as many individuals from the direct community, so we do have a lot of our staff within walking distance," said Pelletier.

Blue River Terps will be opening in Cambridge and Somerville in the coming weeks.
