A Woman Sustains Neck Injuries At South Shore Plaza After Possible Stabbing

BRAINTREE, Mass. (WBZ News Radio) — A young Dorchester woman is left with a possible stab wound to her neck after an altercation at a Braintree shopping mall on Friday evening.

Braintree Police said they got reports of a stabbing at the South Shore Plaza just before 6 p.m. but it is "unclear if there was an actual stabbing" since they have yet to determine what caused the woman's injuries.

The 21-year-old Dorchester woman sustained minor injuries to her neck during a fight at the shopping center where she works. Police said the woman and the suspect are "casually known to one another and it appears they met with the intention of having the altercation."

No one has been arrested at this time as police investigate the suspect's identity.
