BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Some people call themselves dog people or cat people, but what about the pigeon people?
WBZ's Matt Shearer set out to Allston with a bag of a bird seed and a mission to make some flying friends.
On Shearer's adventure he ran into Holly who takes care of a colony of pigeons at the corner of Harvard and Commonwealth Ave in Allston.
Holly said she finds being around the birds very peaceful, even if she is paying for a few friends.

"I'm bribing them pretty much... at least they're cheap friends, like a bag of bird seed is like five bucks," Holly said.
While Holly has a found appreciation for the birds, not everyone had that same pigeon appreciation.
"Rough, dirty, like flying rats," one Bostonian said.
One pigeon lover named Desiree said she likes to come by and feed the birds but left her bread at home.
