Boston Coast Guard Searches For Missing Submarine Visiting Titanic Wreckage

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — U.S. Coast Guard members from Boston are searching for a missing submarine off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada on Monday.

The submarine was on a tour of the Titanic wreckage when it went missing.

OceanGate Expeditions owns the missing vessel and began an annual trip to visit the deteriorating iconic site in 2021, the Associated Press confirmed.

The wreckage is about 400 miles off Newfoundland's coast in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean.

There is no word of how many people are on board at this time.
