Boston Police Officer Injured After Being Hit By Vehicle In North End

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Boston Police officer is injured after being struck by a vehicle in the North End on Thursday afternoon.

The officer, whose identity is unknown at this time, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The crash happened in the area of North Washington and Thacher streets, police told WBZ NewsRadio.

There are closures on North Washington Street as police investigate the accident.

Yellow police tape was seen surrounding a white work truck.

The crash remains under investigation.
