BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Some Bostonians have a case of the back-to-work blues after a gloomy Fourth of July.
Tuesday was full of ups and downs as some local fireworks shows and celebrations were canceled due to weather concerns. On the Esplanade, possible heavy rain and lighting prompted thousands of people to be evacuated for a part of the afternoon. They were allowed back in around 5 p.m. ahead of the Boston Pops concert and the firework show.
One woman told WBZ's Chris Fama the only thing getting her through the day is an extra expresso shot.
"I'm getting the strongest coffee available, you know I probably won't be well again until the end of the day," she said.

Some Boston residents said they think they should have gotten the whole week off since the holiday fell on a Tuesday.
"It's pointless to come back to work after a holiday," one woman said. "I think we should have more than one day off if it falls during the week."
