BRIGHTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — One store in Brighton is teaching the community how to bring their home decor vision to life.

Tutuland gives craft lovers a chance to design and create their own custom rugs and teaches them how to create them. Customers are able to pick out the design and colors for the rug they create.

"[It's] a lot of fun," one group from Chicago told WBZ's Kim Tinnicliffe about their rug-making experience. "We've all been saying how meditative it is, you kind of just turn your brain off and get a cramp in your hands so it's really fun," one man joked.

Using a tufting gun, yarn, and canvas, crafters get to work creating their rugs. They can design anything from their favorite anime characters to their favorite flowers.

Tutuland also offers other activities such as tie-dying bears made of porcelain and personalizing phone case with charms.

"I used to sell custom rugs and used to do it myself," said Jay, co-owner of Tutuland. "Me and my partner are very crafty people, we love this."

Jay and his partners opened Tutuland in July 2022.
