BROOKLINE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) The home of the late Larry Lucchino, former Boston Red Sox president and CEO, is going on the market for nearly $7.5 million, and all proceeds will be donated to charity.

The money will first go to Lucchino's foundation, which will distribute the money to various local charities, according to Michael Carucci of Gibson Sotheby's International Realty.

Lucchino died in April 2024 of heart failure at age 78. Along with leading the Red Sox to three World Series championships, he was a longtime philanthropist.

Lucchino was a three-time cancer survivor and chairman of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Jimmy Fund for many years.

The 9,700 square foot home on Cabot Street features six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, along with a media room, wine cellar, home gym, heated pool and built-in bocce court.

Items from Lucchino’s personal collection were auctioned off last year, with all proceeds also going to local charities.

The items included lots of Red Sox memorabilia, including a 2004 Red Sox World Series Championship Ring, a 2004 World Series Commissioner Trophy and a third base used during the fourth game of the 2004 World Series.
