Cambridge Man Fatally Injured In Rollover Crash In Rhode Island

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Massachusetts resident is dead after a fatal car crash in Rhode Island on Saturday.

At around 11:45 A.M. a vehicle traveling north on Route 95, just south of Kingstown Road in Richmond, started driving erratically, witnesses told Rhode Island Police. Witnesses said the vehicle started swaying across lanes before going off the left side of the highway and hitting the high-speed barrier, Rhode Island Police said.

The vehicle then started to veer to the right, crossing over all the lanes before hitting a guard rail causing it to roll over, officials said.

Cambridge resident Eric. Qualey, 43, was driving the car. He was sent to Kent County Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Rhode Island Police are investigating the crash. No further details of what caused the crash are known at this time.
