DEDHAM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The town of Dedham is kicking off the first night of Chanukah with a menorah car parade on Sunday.
The parade will begin in Dedham Square at 4 P.M. and come to an end outside of Dedham Town Hall for the annual menorah lighting. The parade route will go through High Street, Washington Street, Eastern Avenue, and Boston Providence Highway.
The lighting will be held at 5 P.M. and will be followed by a celebration of dancing and singing to Chanukah songs. Hot cider, donuts, and traditional holiday foods will be at the lighting celebration for attendees to enjoy.

"Last year the parade was a great success and it brought the awareness of Chanukah to a whole new level so we decided to do it again this year," Chanie Krinsky, co-director of the Chabad Jewish Center, said in a statement.
The car parade and annual menorah lighting are a part a worldwide Chanukah campaign started by the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson.
