Five Hospitalized After Wrong-Way Driver Crash In Nashua, New Hampshire

NASHUA, New Hampshire (WBZ NewsRadio) — Five people were hospitalized after a wrong-way driver caused a crash on the F.E. Everett on Saturday night.

At around 10:42 p.m., the Nashua Fire Rescue dispatch center got reports about someone driving north on the F.E. Everett Turnpike in the southbound lanes at Exit 7. When officers arrived, they found the Subaru Impreza, going the wrong way, on fire with the driver entrapped inside, police said.

Troopers identified Jennifer Pratka, 29, of Litchfield, New Hampshire as the driver.

While driving in the wrong direction on the F.E. Everett Turnpike, the Subaru collided with a pickup truck. Immediately after, three other vehicles crashed into them. The pickup truck driver and passenger were seriously injured in the crash while the people in the other vehicle had minor injuries, officials said.

"Two Trauma patients were transported to Southern NH Medical Center and three other patients [were] transported to St Joseph’s Hospital," said Nashua Fire Rescue.

The southbound lanes between Exit 7W and 7E were shut down for several hours for cleanup.
